Soccer mind dump: Manchester United v Wolfsburg

Greatest Pro Bowls of all time, and other stuff interrupts your regularly scheduled NFL Week 4 programming to present some random thoughts on football of the international variety.

Today’s play in the UEFA Champions League presents a very intriguing matchup, the defending champions of the English Premier League — Manchester United — against the defending champions of the German Bundesliga — VfL Wolfsburg.

Carrying on the tradition of my previous random ramblings regarding football of the international variety, I’m enjoying a tasty cafe caramel from the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It’s tasty.

The 2009 World Football Challenge — which concluded in front of 57,229 fans at the Dallas Cowboys’ brand-new state-of-the-art stadium — has helped hammer home the point that bringing top-notch international soccer clubs to the U.S. can be a huge success at the box office.
