My Decepticon power rankings
The third — and apparently final — installment of the live-action Transformers movies is due out in theaters on June 29. At the top of my head, this is the most-anticipated movie of the year that I can think of at the moment.
With that fun to look forward to this summer, a Decepticons power rankings was necessary …
1. Soundwave — Held an army of evil little robots in his chest to unleash in quick order on unsuspecting Autobots.
2. Shockwave — Was the smart Decepticon, staying on Cybertron to avoid repeated Autobot beat downs.
3. Devastator — This confluence of six construction vehicles merging together to form one super-sized destruction machine probably could have delivered victory to the evil and diabolical Decepticons if Megatron could get his act together.
4. Ramjet — Well, there’s got to be some Decepticon more worthy of this spot than Megatron, right? And, why not Ramjet, who bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain infamous soccer player …
5. Megatron — Major underachieving leader of the Decepticons has been a disappointment in both cartoon and live-action form. Somehow, Megatron can’t lead his army of hit-robots that transform into battle tanks, fighter jets and other various forms of heavy machinery to victory over an Autobot army of VWs, soccer-mom SUVs and sports cars. Shame!
Top five new robots for 'Transformers 2'
“It’s not trying to be the greatest movie on earth. It’s going to be the best action movie of the summer. Hands down, it will win that. But it’s not trying to be a Golden Globe-nominated film. It’s a badass popcorn summer movie.” — Über-hottie Megan Fox, on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Moviegoers are a week away from the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
We’ve just ordered our advance tickets for The Transformers IMAX experience (thank you very much, Moviefone), which sounds awesomely promising. A synopsis on said film retrieved from the Internets states, “Director Michael Bay has seamlessly integrated the IMAX footage with state-of-the-art CGI to create an unprecedented look and feel for this highly anticipated sequel.”
Sounds outrageously awesome.
In eager and giddy young kid-on-the-night-before-Christmas-like anticipation of this summer blockbuster theater event, Greatest Pro Bowls of all time, and other stuff has a countdown of the top five robots Greatest Pro Bowls of all time, and other stuff is looking forward to seeing in this sequel.
(Important note: No robot that appeared in the original Transformers flick from 2007 will be included. So, it’s all new robots in disguise here, which means these are either robots that were more than meets the eye in the trailers, or robots rumored to be a part of the film. Anyway, this should be fun.)
Let’s transform and roll out …
